Privacy Notice
Effective date: 15 October 2026
Who we are
Ciru.io (“Ciru,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Lifes Campus LLC, Wyoming, United States. Our business mailing address is 1309 Coffeen Avenue, Ste 1200, Sheridan, WY, United States. Contact us about this notice or your information at ciru@ciru.io.
This notice explains how personal information is handled when you visit our website, enquire about or administer our services, participate in a customer organisation's community, or join a free peer community operated by Ciru.
Our role and your organisation's role
When a customer organisation uses Ciru to operate its own community, that organisation determines the purposes for its community's use of participant information. Ciru processes that information to provide the service on the organisation's instructions. The organisation's own privacy notice also applies. Where applicable data protection law uses these terms, the organisation generally acts as controller and Ciru as processor for this activity.
For our own website enquiries, customer relationship and billing administration, and peer communities that Ciru operates directly, Lifes Campus LLC generally determines the purposes and means of processing. Applicable law may describe this role as controller or business.
Your organisation's instructions do not authorise Ciru to use participant information for unrelated marketing or to move it into another community.
Customers determine the purposes of processing in their workspaces. Ciru does not reuse identifiable participant information for unrelated marketing or unrelated product development, and does not use it for cross-network matching.
Information we collect
Depending on your relationship with Ciru, we collect:
Identity and professional details, such as name, email address, organisation, role, participant contact details, and a LinkedIn profile link when supplied.
Matching information, including professional needs, expertise, interests and context you or the community administrator provide.
Introduction activity, such as acceptance or decline decisions, reports, blocks, and feedback about introductions and outcomes.
Customer and enquiry information, including quote requirements, service scope, and correspondence with our team.
Payment and billing information associated with purchases through Stripe.
Please keep free-text submissions focused on professional needs. Do not submit sensitive personal information, passwords, payment-card details, or confidential records in profile descriptions or AI chat.
Where information comes from
Information may be provided directly by you, uploaded by your community's administrator, or generated through your introduction choices and feedback. We do not enrich profiles using externally sourced personal information. A LinkedIn link supplied by a participant or administrator is not permission for external profile enrichment.
If an administrator supplies your details, they are responsible for having an appropriate basis to do so and providing the necessary information about the community's use of Ciru. Contact that organisation if you have questions about why you were invited.
Why we use information
We use information to configure and operate communities; identify relevant potential matches; send match invitations and mutually approved introductions; record participation choices, reports and feedback; administer accounts, quotes, payments and subscriptions; respond to requests; and address misuse or legal obligations.
We use OpenAI services to support matching and the website assistant.
We do not access the private conversations participants conduct with each other after an introduction. Participants may separately provide feedback to Ciru.
Our peer-community messages concern matches, introductions and related follow-up. Peer-community participation is not enrolment in product marketing.
Who can see your information
Community administrators can access participant information within their organisation's workspace. Participants are not given general access to other participants' full profiles or the administrator dashboard.
Before an introduction, each proposed participant receives a brief about the proposed counterpart. If both agree, the information necessary to make the introduction is shared with them by email.
Authorised Ciru product and customer-support personnel may access information as needed for their responsibilities. Ciru uses separate organisational workspaces and does not transfer participant profiles between customer workspaces or Ciru-run peer communities for matching.
Service providers receive information as needed to provide their services:
| Provider | Stated service |
|---|---|
| Vercel | Application/website hosting |
| Supabase | Database/application infrastructure |
| Resend | Email delivery |
| Stripe | Payment processing |
| OpenAI | AI matching and website-assistant processing |
We may disclose information where required by law, in response to lawful requests, or as necessary to address fraud or misuse, subject to applicable law and our customer agreements.
International processing
Ciru is operated by a US entity and uses cloud service providers. Information may be processed outside your country. Workspace isolation does not mean information never leaves your country.
How long information is kept
Leaving a community stops future participation in that community, subject to completion of the opt-out workflow. It does not retract email introductions already delivered or automatically erase records that must be retained. Information already shared with another participant may remain in that person's email account.
AI and service-provider retention
Ciru's choice not to store chat transcripts does not mean providers process information without retaining it. OpenAI and other providers may retain logs or application data according to the service, account settings and agreements in use.
Your choices and rights
You can accept or decline a proposed introduction, report or block another participant, and opt out of future community participation. Contact your community administrator or ciru@ciru.io for help. No introduction is made unless both proposed participants agree.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, receive a portable copy, or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Rights are subject to applicable conditions and exceptions. You may also have a right to complain to the relevant privacy regulator.
For customer-workspace information, your organisation generally handles the substantive decision and Ciru assists as appropriate. We may need proportionate information to verify a request and protect other people's data. Contact ciru@ciru.io; do not send identity documents unless requested through an appropriate process.
Adults only
Ciru is intended for professional participants aged 18 or older. If you believe a person under 18 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Updates and contact
We may update this notice as our service or practices change. We will identify the effective date and provide additional notice where required. Privacy requests and complaints can be sent to ciru@ciru.io or Lifes Campus LLC, 1309 Coffeen Avenue, Ste 1200, Sheridan, WY, United States.
